FAQs

What should I do to prepare for the photoshoot?

We’ve created a 55-Point Photography Checklist of best practices that you can view here. You will receive this checklist as a PDF after you’ve booked an appointment and you can also find a direct link in the footer throughout the website. We can’t stress it enough - this checklist will ensure that your home looks it’s best!

What if the house isn’t ready by appointment time?

We always do some minor clean-up work just to ensure great photos, but if the home requires some serious elbow grease (more than 15 minutes to clean and straighten) then the appointment will be rescheduled for another day and a cancellation fee will be charged.

Does Goodlook photograph neighborhood amenities?

Most definitely! We offer all of our regular services for neighborhood amenities (photography, videography, aerial drone photography/videography, 3D virtual tours.) This can be selected as an add-on to residential services or as a separate order.

How many photos will you take?

You will receive about 30 photos give or take a few depending on the size of the property. In general, we believe in quality over quantity. We’ve seen better results from photos that highlight the best features of each room rather than situations where there are three photos of the kitchen sink JUST to ensure that you receive 30+ photos.

Do you have a price list of your services?

We sure do! Here is our pricing page. There is also a link available in the footer.

Are the photos sized for the web?

We deliver the photos in two formats. The first format is sized for web/MLS upload and the other is in ultra high-resolution optimized for print and advertising.

How are photos delivered?

Your photos will be emailed to you the moment they are ready! They are hosted on Goodlook’s Google Drive for easy downloading and sharing. The card you used to book the appointment will be charged the remaining balance upon delivery.

How long will it take to receive my photos after the shoot?

We aim to deliver all photos within 3 business days immediately following the shoot. We average a 24-48 hour turnaround though so you might get an early surprise!

What if I need to cancel or reschedule? Is there a fee?

Orders cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the confirmed appointment time will result in a $100 fee. We try to be as flexible as possible with scheduling so if there’s any doubt about the appointment time - contact us!

Why do I need to put down a $100 deposit?

The deposit is simply to book the appointment and goes 100% towards the total cost of your services selected.

I don’t know the square footage. What size do I select?

Make an educated guess! We will follow up with you once you have obtained accurate measurements.

Does Goodlook offer bundling of services? Will you come out just to shoot a twilight photo or a neighborhood amenity?

Absolutely! You save money when you bundle add-ons. Or if you’d prefer for us to shoot only a twilight hero image (or a neighborhood amenity) without also photographing the residential interior, that’s completely possible too! Check the pricing list for more details. And don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

What happens if it is raining on the day of my shoot?

Light rain isn’t a dealbreaker for us! We offer four options for when the weather isn’t cooperating:

Option 1: Shoot and send the photos “as is.” This is assuming it’s not a torrential downpour or a hurricane/tornado, etc. If Goodlook is forced to reschedule due to safety/weather, you will not be assessed a fee.

Option 2: Shoot the interiors as planned and have the exterior photos retouched with a blue sky. ($10/image)

Option 3: Shoot the interiors as planned and come back on a nice day for exteriors. ($100 trip charge)

Option 4: Cancel the shoot and reschedule for the next available day. ($100 reschedule charge)

Does Goodlook offer virtual tours?

Absolutely! We offer both Matterport virtual tours and Zillow 3D Home tours which allow for premium Zillow placement. Both are a great option to allow prospective buyers an opportunity to tour the listing without ever leaving their home.

Does Goodlook offer aerial/drone photography?

We sure do! Ben is an FAA-licensed drone pilot. Drone photography is a great way to give potential buyers a more comprehensive view of the property and surrounding neighborhood. Plus, for all of you listing agents, it’s a surefire way to impress your clients by taking cinema-quality photos and videos from the air.

Drones are also a great way to photograph land for sale. Satellite imagery can be fuzzy or out of date. Drones allow you to get current high-resolution imagery of every acre, nook, and cranny.
